This folk song was once adapted for and sung, mainly in English, by Cab Calloway. Yiddish lyrics and traditional melody were recorded by Moshe Beregovski in his Soviet Yiddish song-collecting work. Our own swing version includes an instrumental intruduction by Eve Sicular, as well as a shout chorus composed by Rick Faulkner...
